Alpha Lodge hosted this past month's Lodge of Instruction. Worshipful Brother Craig Rothman was pleased to revive the traditional meal before the Lodge of Instruction, served by our resident chef, Steve Dembro, from Stevie's Eatery.
We thanked the outgoing Master of LOI, Worshipful Brother Grim on a job well done, and we welcomed the new Master of the Lodge of Instruction, Worshipful Paul Eckler, and his suite of officers. Worshipful Brother Adam Marks, the District Education Officer for the 15th North Masonic District, along with his counterpart for the Southern District, Worshipful Robert Jackson, presented the thoughts on Masonic Education, and the officers from the lodges participated in a captivating short play, "What Kind of Mason Are You?"
Alpha Lodge was pleased to be awarded the Little Laterns Award for most Officers at a Lodge of Instruction.
Service to the community is a hallmark of Freemasonry around the world. While this takes a varity of forms, the members of Alpha Lodge literally serve the community by working at the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café.
The partnership with the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café was created by Worshipful Brother Donald W. Crookes, Jr., during his term as Master of Alpha Lodge in 2014, and Wor. Bro. Crookes continues to lead and champion our service efforts in the Framingham community.
With the recent relocation of the Salvation Army of Framingham, which no longer has a facility to operate their relief program, the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café is increasing their program from two to five nights per week. Alpha Lodge would like to help through a commitment by our members. If you would like to discuss with us, please complete the How Can I Help form. To learn more, please read on.
Worshipful Steven Mason Knott, Past Master of Alpha Lodge and long-time contributor to the John Eliot Chapter of De Molay, has the distinct honor of being inducted into the De Molay Legion of Honor on January 7, 2017.
Members and friends of Alpha Lodge, please join the Worshipful Master and Officers of Alpha Lodge in attendance at BU for Dr. Goodwin's lecture.
